Owner and Lover of all things Business - Kerrie is a Serial Entrepreneur From Humble Beginings
Meet Owner and serial entrepreneur Kerrie Griffin
Kerrie created, The Interior Co, over 15 years ago with a passion to help make houses feel like homes. She saw a gap in the market to assist people, from designing to planning for a smooth execution, supplying everything needed for their project.
Kerrie will visit your home or business and give you the very best advice often saving you thousands and getting you to think like an investor not a home owner increasing value on your property.
Kerrie was delighted to have been included in accolades far higher than she could have imagined when she started her business from her stable over a decade ago Winner Of Highly Commended NDA 2017
Linda Barker and Paul Smith were judging the award when Kerries company name was read out the whole of the table cheered people she had never met the atmosphere was electric. It was kerrie's first taste of a win and she went on to achieve many more including this month winning "Residential Interior Design Agency of the Year 2024/25".
Kerrie has won 30 awards and been featured in 44 Magazines.
Kerrie started to paint from a very early age but it wasn't until her 40s when she started to get recognised by many British brands like the RSPB and the National trust often selling out of her cards and prints on a regular basis, she would exhibit at Saatchi in London and had some paintings accepted by And So To Bed in London.
Kerrie then created her own clothing brand Feathers Of Italy from scratch with no prior knowledge of the fashion industry but could sew a good pair of curtains! She empowers women to be themselves and has won many awards such as
Uk Most Influential Women's Clothing Boutique 2024
Best Online Ladies wear Boutique 2024
Best Casual Women's Fashion Brand 2023
Best Women's Luxury Italian Clothing Retailer 2024
Best Casual Women's Fashion Brand 2023
Most Empowering Online Clothing Boutique 2023
Kerrie went on to Create a money making holiday let called "Turtledove Hideaway" and only went on to write a book on how others could achieve the same results, called From Shed to Chic always looking to enhance other peoples businesses is what she loves doing best.
Kerrie started a Luxury B&B 10 years ago and has always loved entertaining so it was no surprise to us when we found out she had rescued a Timber framed Grade 2 listed farmhouse in bad disrepair. Whilst it was in the midst of the transformation Kerrie opened it up as a B&B and why not within 4 months of opening and more 10?10 reviews than we can quickly count she was awarded New Historic Accommodation of the Year!.
Kerrie loves a challenge, but this has been an uphill struggle with Listed Building consent and planning permission something she did expect but not to be quite as difficult to save a historic building as she thought. Now armed with a team of wonderful trades she is getting a lot of work with historic projects but also new builds in the luxury sector.
If you would like to watch Kerrie's progress with the renovation follow her on instagram.
In this blog Kerrie gives you a look into how she thinks and what goes on in her creative mind.
Understanding Serial Entrepreneurship
Being a serial entrepreneur means engaging in the continuous cycle of starting, growing, and often selling multiple businesses throughout your career. It's a path characterized by innovation, adaptability, and a drive to create new ventures. Let's delve into what defines a serial entrepreneur and what it entails.
Characteristics of a Serial Entrepreneur
- Passion for Innovation: Serial entrepreneurs have a relentless passion for creating and bringing new ideas to life. They thrive on innovation and are always on the lookout for opportunities to disrupt existing markets or create entirely new ones.
- Risk-Taking: These entrepreneurs are not afraid to take calculated risks. They understand that failure is a possibility, but they view it as a learning experience rather than a setback.
- Resilience: The journey of entrepreneurship is fraught with challenges. Serial entrepreneurs are resilient, capable of bouncing back from failures, and using setbacks as stepping stones to future successes.
- Visionary Thinking: They possess the ability to see the bigger picture and envision the future potential of their ideas. This visionary thinking helps them to strategize and plan effectively for their ventures.
- Adaptability: The business landscape is constantly changing, and serial entrepreneurs are adept at adapting to new trends, technologies, and market demands. They are flexible and open to pivoting when necessary.
The Process of Serial Entrepreneurship
- Idea Generation: It often begins with an idea or a problem that needs solving. Serial entrepreneurs are constantly brainstorming and identifying potential business opportunities.
- Business Launch: Once an idea is validated, the next step is to launch the business. This involves everything from securing funding and assembling a team to developing a product or service and entering the market.
- Growth and Scaling: After the initial launch, the focus shifts to growth and scaling the business. This can involve expanding the customer base, increasing revenue, and optimizing operations.
- Exit Strategy: Many serial entrepreneurs plan an exit strategy, which could involve selling the business, merging with another company, or taking the company public. This allows them to move on to their next venture.
- Repeat: The process repeats as they move on to their next idea or business opportunity, bringing with them the experience and lessons learned from previous ventures.
Benefits and Challenges
Benefits:
- Diverse Experience: Serial entrepreneurs gain a wealth of experience across different industries and markets.
- Network Expansion: They build extensive professional networks that can be leveraged for future ventures.
- Personal Growth: The continuous cycle of creation and innovation fosters personal and professional growth.
The Challenges are Juggling multiple ventures which can be stressful and demanding. Uncertainty: The entrepreneurial path is unpredictable, with no guarantee of success and is High Pressure!
In essence, being a serial entrepreneur is about embracing a lifestyle of continuous innovation, learning, and growth. It's a journey that requires resilience, creativity, and an unyielding passion for creating successful businesses.

Theo Paphitis SBS Winner March 2014
Mar 2014 Theo Paphitis
The initiative, Small Business Sunday, shortened to the hashtag #SBS on Twitter, was created by Theo Paphitis of Dragons Den fame founded in October 2010. Every Sunday small businesses can tweet Theo direct to describe their business to him in 140 characters or less. Theo then reviews the thousands of entries and chooses just six to re-tweet to his over 400,000 followers, which can mean a massive publicity boost and increased sales for the chosen few lucky businesses.
Kerrie said; “I have been following the #SBS initiative for the last couple of years and have persevered in order to get the chance to be recognized. The rules are businesses can only tweet once between 5 and 7.30 pm on Sundays. I couldn’t believe it when my business was chosen on Sunday 3rd March. Theo gets over 1500 tweets every week from small businesses so I am absolutely delighted to have been selected and passed on to his many followers. We have received 633 tweets in 24 hours, as well as over 100 extra followers, and this is increasing all the time.”

TESTIMONIALS
Rachele Biancalani
Italian Architect & Interior Designer March 2014
"I really love Kerrie's style because she uses a very natural mood combined with a more traditional style. Country meets wood, hills meet the sea, feathers meet paintings in Kerrie Griffin Rogers' interiors. In my opinion interior Design is a sort of vocation and she has it. Her sensibility leads her to use always the right colours and give the right vibe to every project. Furniture and accessories chosen and created by Kerrie are, in a single word: perfect!"
Claire Ray

Simple touches and careful attention-to-detail ensure that the overall effect is one of luxury and pure relaxation. I adore the popular Turtledove Hideaway and the press attention and great booking levels we have generated for it since it joined the Unique Home Stays portfolio is testament to how alluring Kerrie’s interiors are to both journalists and clients alike.”
