When I launched Feathers of Italy from my conservatory table in April 2012, I had no prior experience in the fashion industry, no funds, and little knowledge about running a clothing brand. However, as a single mother, fuelled by determination and courage, I took a leap of faith and invested my life-savings of £330 into my ambitious venture. Throughout the journey, I self-educated on marketing, inventory management, procurement, and promoting my brand. I dedicated countless hours working in marquees across the country, sharing my story and inspiring numerous women along the way and selling a hell of a lot of clothing, I had found a niche.
